If you're using the Inventory Manager to add inventory to your account, you'll need to understand the differences between the account types listed.
The account type is the type of job board contract that you purchased from the job site.
Credit
A specific amount of job board credits/postings were purchased that expire on a specific date.
Many large job boards (like Monster & CareerBuilder) in addition to the majority of niche job boards utilize credit-based contract models.
Subscription
Unlimited job postings were purchased that expire on a specific date, typically at a year after purchase or longer.
Indeed is the most common example of a "subscription" inventory type, as they implement job campaigns but do not utilize traditional contracts. Additionally, most JobTarget products like Programmatic+/Programmatic 360 will show as subscriptions in your account's inventory.
Slots
A specific amount of "spaces" were purchased, where you can move requisitions in & out of those spaces until they expire on a specific date.
LinkedIn is a major job site that uses the slot model.
Before adding slots using the Inventory Manager, you must ensure all slots on the job board are vacant. If any slots are in use directly on the job site at any point, you run the risk of delaying the delivery of your job ads through JobTarget.
Membership
Membership inventory is used to store login credentials within your JobTarget account for job boards that either require you to log in to post jobs, or provide special member pricing for their posting products. Memberships differ from the 3 account types above in that it is not an actual job board contract where postings were purchased in advance.
Many collegiate & government job boards require login credentials in order to post jobs.
Handshake is a platform that powers many collegiate job boards. If you'd like to post to a collegiate job board that is powered by Handshake, you must add membership inventory for the specific college or university using your Handshake credentials. Each college must have separate membership inventory, even though the Handshake credentials will be the same.
