OFCCP Local Outreach User Guide

Learn how to use JobTarget Local Outreach.

Connect with community-based organizations and recruit locally with Local Outreach. We have an extensive database of local organizations in your area including colleges, non-profits, community centers, one-stop offices, and more. 

This guide covers:

Accessing Local Outreach & your organizations

If you’re accessing JobTarget directly, click on “Local Outreach” in the JobTarget dashboard. You can also access Local Outreach from the “More Apps” dropdown.

If you access JobTarget through an integration with your HR software, simply click on the menu at the top right corner of the JobTarget window. Search for Local Outreach and click on it when it appears.

All your local outreach organizations and activities will be stored on the Local Outreach dashboard. On the dashboard you can also:

  • See how many of your organization slots you've used and have left
  • Download a list of your organizations
  • Add an activity related to a specific organization
  • Report an issue with an organization
  • Email an organization directly

Adding organizations from search

The Local Outreach search allows you to search for organizations by:


Organization name If you have a specific organization you would like to post to, you can search for this organization by name.
Location To search by location, you at least need to be able to narrow the location by state. You can also search by city or proximity by radius around a location.
Radius You can search based on a radius around the job posting location. The radius ranges from 25 miles to 100 miles.
State only or all organizations Search within a specific state only or all states within the radius you selected.
Category Search by a specific diversity category

Job Radius Rules

Some organizations are restricted to certain job radius rules to receive your job. Please check the job radius rules of the organization to confirm that your jobs can be received by the organization. 

  • State only: All jobs within the state will be sent to this organization
  • 50 Mile Radius in State Only: All your jobs within a 50-mile radius, and that are in the same state of the local organization, will be emailed to the organization

Once you find an organization you want to add, click "Add Organization" in the Actions column. 

A pop up with appear asking you to confirm you want to add the organization. This organization will use one of your organization slots and you will see that organization under My Local Organizations. Job postings that meet the criteria, will be sent via email that the organization on a weekly basis. You'll also be able to add activity notes to this organization. 

Adding an Organization to the JobTarget Database

If there is a specific organization you want to work with that isn't already in our database, click "Create New Organization" on the Add Organization page. 

This will open a form where you can fill in the information about the organization and click "Submit". Our team will add that organization to our database so you can add it to your organizations and distribute your jobs. 

Adding Additional Organizations

If you've exhausted the number of local organizations, you have the option to purchase additional organizations. In the blue bar where you see the number of slots you've used, you'll see a message telling you that you've reached your limit and to click to purchase more sites. In this request, please put in the number of organizations you would like to purchase and your Relationship Manager will work on processing this request. 

Deleting an Organization

If you want to remove an organization from Local Outreach, you can do so by clicking 
"Select Action" next to that organization. This opens a drop down menu where you can select "Delete Org". Confirm you want to delete the organization and it will be removed from your dashboard. Any Activities related to the organization in Activities App will still be available for your records. 

Emailing an Organization

You can email an organization directly in Local Outreach. 

Click the "Select Action" dropdown next to an organization and then click "Email Org". 

This will open an email window where you can enter your email subject line and message. When you're ready to send the email, click "Submit". After the email is sent, it will show up as an activity in the Activities App.
