Candidate Manager is a centralized hub available to all JobTarget users that helps you sort through Easy Apply or JobTarget Hosted Apply applications for your posted jobs.
Q: Who has access to Candidate Manager?
All JobTarget users have access to Candidate Manager. It's included with your JobTarget account at no additional cost.
Q: What types of applications does Candidate Manager handle?
Candidate Manager manages applications submitted through Easy Apply or JobTarget Hosted Apply. If candidates apply through your external apply URL, they'll go directly to your ATS instead.

Q: How do I start reviewing candidates?
Simply select a job from the dropdown menu at the top of the screen, then use the tabs to view candidates by status: Open/Pending, Declined, or Saved.
Q: What filtering options are available?
You can filter candidates by:
- Candidate stage (from dropdown menu)
- Message status
- Specific time periods
- Custom searches using keywords like "5 years experience" or "willing to relocate"
Q: What information appears for each candidate?
Each candidate listing shows:
- Candidate name
- Job they applied for (including location)
- Application date
- Current candidate stage
- Quick action buttons (star to save, communication icons)
Communication Features
Q: How can I contact candidates?
You have three communication options:
- Chat messaging (triggers an email request for the candidate to accept)
- Phone call (opens your default phone application)
- Email (opens your default email application)
Q: How does the chat messaging work?
When you send your first chat message, it triggers an email to the candidate requesting they accept your message. Once accepted, you can have real-time conversations during the review process.
Resume & Application Review
Q: What can I do when viewing a candidate's resume?
From the resume view, you can:
- Print the resume
- Forward it to colleagues
- Download it for your records
- View cover letters (if included)
- Update candidate status
Q: How do candidate statuses work?
Candidate statuses help you track where each applicant is in your review process. These are especially useful if you're managing candidates solely through JobTarget rather than transferring to an ATS.
AI Interviewer Integration
Q: How does Candidate Manager work with JobTarget's AI Interviewer?
If you're using AI Interviewer, you'll see the interview status underneath each candidate's job title. You can watch or listen to their screening questionnaire responses directly from the AI Interview tab.
